RG: Introduce yourself
Joshua: Hi, I am Joshua
RG: Which game(s) are you streaming?
Joshua: I stream a variety of games RPG/MMO/FPS/etc
RG: Give us 3 facts about yourself you would like your fans to know.
Joshua: I am a relaxed person
Will try to help anyone if in need of help
I enjoy working and streaming
RG: Streaming is a fun yet challenging job. How did you decide to start streaming?
Joshua: I actually don’t know why I wanted to start streaming. I think it was because I wanted to make more of social life and also challenge to see if I could get my channel to kick off.
RG: What is the one piece of advice you wish someone gave you when you started streaming?
Joshua: Do not do it for money or going in thinking your channel will make money. Help out other streamers too. It is highly rewarding but if they are not going to support you back don’t help them any further. They will only use you to get their channel to more success
RG: Tell us about your gaming rig – CPU, GPU, PSU, Memory, Video Card, Motherboard, Monitor, etc 🙂
Joshua: So I am using a Predator 15 G9 GAMING LAPTOP. 16gb ddr4 brilliant memory to have in any pc for streaming. graphics card it runs is a GTX 1060. So far this has been the highest I have gone with any graphics. but the laptop itself is brilliant .
RG: Tell us about the peripherals you use – Mouse, Keyboard, Headphones/mic, Headset, Mouse Pad
Joshua: So far I have a pair of RIG500 – very good for surround and basic headset for streaming. I got mine on special, I can’t tell you retail price as I have looked into other countries and the price is either way cheaper or a lot expansive. I have a cheap gaming mouse. I have HYUNDAI W-MS1303. It might be cheep but it is very comfortable. I can’t get into too much detail – still new. It looks good even though it is cheap, but no problems with it in 2 months I have owned it.
RG: Which is the next hardware part you consider upgrading? Which is the next peripheral you plan to change with a newer/ more versatile/ more powerful one?
Joshua: I would love to upgrade to Mad Catz RAT 9 mouse. I have used one and it is a very brilliant gaming mouse. It looks beautiful and comes with rechaRG:eable batteries, and you can adjust the frame to suit your hand and game play.
RG: Which, in your opinion, is the piece of hardware no self-respecting gamer would compromise on?
Joshua: I would have to say the 25 in Predator curved monitor. It looks really clean while playing a game or movie.
RG: Which, in your opinion, are the must-have peripherals for a novice streamer on a budget?
Joshua: Start with what you have. Don’t go out spend a ton of money on new gear. Choose what you want and save. You need to build your channel first before you even buy expensive gear or new.
RG: Is there anything you would do differently if you were starting your streaming channel today?
Joshua: I try to find something that will make more viewers jump in on stream and chat – a new or old game that they have enjoyed watching or playing
RG: A final word of advice to our readers?
Joshua: I guess do not try and get big straight away. Streaming it is not about money or trying to find your fame. It is what you get out of it and your viewers do what you like. Be yourself. There is always going to be people who hate on you for who you are. It does not mean it will stop but simply just ignore it and you will be fine
