10 Best White Gaming Mice of 2023 (First-Hand Tested Recommendations)

There’s one question all gamers – sooner or later – eventually find themselves asking: How do I choose a gaming mouse?

With specifications such as optical sensors, DPI, polling rate, tracking speed, and angle snapping, it takes work to pick the ideal mouse.

Worse still, most gaming mice only come in black, making it harder than ever to find the best white gaming mouse in 2022. Luckily, that’s what we have been up to lately to answer the question: What’s the best white mouse?

And now we have the answer!

TL;DR – Top White Gaming Mice

  1. Logitech G502 Hero K/DA Edition: The best white gaming mouse, powered by the famous and ever-reliable Hero 25K Gaming Sensor.
  2. Razer DeathAdder Essential: A great white mouse for people on a tight budget. It checks a lot of boxes at a very modest price.
  3. HyperX Pulsefire Haste: The best option for left-handed people looking for a white, ambidextrous mouse.
  4. Corsair M65 Pro RGB: The ideal choice for people with large hands. Overall, a large and comfortable mouse that accommodates various grip styles.
  5. Razer Atheris: A high-performing and compact mouse that’s deceivingly heavy!
  6. Apple Magic Mouse: The perfect choice for hardcore Mac users looking for a gaming-centric mouse. It offers seamless connectivity with Mac OS.
  7. Glorious Model O (Wireless): A white RGB wireless mouse perfectly suited to PlayStation 5 users.
  8. Logitech G305 LightSpeed: A high-tech wireless mouse boasting performance comparable to wired mice.

Which One Is Better, White or Black Gaming Mouse?

Choose a white mouse if your gaming setup has a white theme or if you want your mouse to stand out.

On the other hand, black mice tend to blend in with the background—especially if you roll with a black gaming setup—and may look bland compared to the white mice with a futuristic retro sheen.

Our Testing Methodology

For this review, we bought 18 white gaming mice and tested them under the following three scenarios:

  1. In addition to the ever-popular Counter-Strike – Global Offensive (CS: GO) title, we evaluated the mice’s functionality and comfort across Fortnite, Minecraft, Valorant, and World of Warcraft PvP Arenas as well. These hyper-paced eSports games require a lot of wrist flicking and rapid finger and thumb movements.
  2. To assess each mouse’s technical aptitude, we subjected it to several tests. These include optical sensor sensitivity, wireless connectivity (where applicable), DPI levels, tracking speed, input latency, polling rate, angle snapping, macros, and overall ease of customizability.
  3. And finally, we examined the mice’s build quality, adjustable weights, number of auxiliary buttons, and other physical and visual attributes, including thumb rests, side grips, scroll wheels, and RGB lights.

After rigorous testing, evaluation, and helpful input from our team members and friends, the top 10 best white gaming mouse contenders have been clearly nominated.

Now, on to the reviews!

1. Logitech G502 Hero K/DA Edition – Best White Gaming Mouse Overall

The Logitech G502 Hero K/DA Edition needs no introduction. It’s been the best seller for several years, and for good reasons. It is one of the best—if not the best—gaming mouse you can get your hands on.

Regarding the specs, the G502 Hero is powered by the legendary Hero 25K gaming sensor, which can clock up to 25,600 DPI with a tracking speed of 400 IPS and a maximum polling rate of 1,000 Hz. Moreover, the input latency is a mere 1 ms with an acceleration of 40g.

The mouse has 11 programmable buttons you can access via the Logitech G Hub software. Also, you can set a maximum of 5 gaming profiles using the G hub and store them in the G502’s internal flash memory.

Unfortunately, these features come at a price. The G502 Hero is the heaviest mouse on this list weighing in at 121g. But, oddly enough, the mouse comes with adjustable weights, and you can bring that heft up to 139 grams (comparable to an iPhone SE 2022).

Fortunately, the G502 Hero has perfect weight distribution, so the weight isn’t a big downside. Besides, some of our testers liked the bulky feel of the G502. In the end, it all depends on your personal preference.

Lastly, the gaming performance of the G502 was stellar. We had a lot of fun playing CS: GO with it, and we feel this is the best gaming mouse for FPS games in white!

  • Hero 25K sensor through a software update from G HUB, this upgrade is free to all players: Our most advanced with 1:1 tracking, 400+ IPS, and 100 - 25,600 max DPI sensitivity plus zero smoothing, filtering, or acceleration
  • 11 customizable buttons and onboard memory: Assign custom commands to the buttons and save up to five ready to play profiles directly to the mouse

2. Razer DeathAdder Essential – Best Budget White Gaming Mouse

The Razer DeathAdder Essential is easily the best mouse for people on a tight budget, as it checks a lot of boxes for very little.

At the heart of the Razer DeathAdder Essential is an unspecified yet performant optical sensor with a 6,400 DPI, 220 IPS tracking, and 30g acceleration. In addition, there are five programmable mechanical buttons with a lifespan of 10 million clicks each.

The Razer DeathAdder Essential is on the larger side at 5.0 x 2.4 x 1.68 inches. Unsurprisingly, it’s also fairly heavy at 96g. However, the large size of the mouse makes it surprisingly comfortable for both fingertip and claw grip users.

The mouse feels slightly bulky at the rear, making it suitable for palm grip users. Being a semi-ambidextrous design, the mouse lacks a thumb rest.

The mouse also lacks RGB lighting. Our white test mouse had a white LED light, while black variants only come with a green light. The cable is also made of rubber which we found slightly stiff.

But despite its drawbacks, playing World of Warcraft PvP Arena matches on this mouse is an absolute blast. The speed is responsive, the tracking was smooth, and we encountered no hiccups. To sum it up, this is the best gaming mouse for WoW Arenas.

  • Ridged, Rubberized Scroll Wheel for Maximum Accuracy: Small, tactile bumps increases grip and allows for more controlled scrolling in high-stakes gaming situations

3. HyperX Pulsefire Haste – Best Ambidextrous White Gaming Mouse

People looking for an ambidextrous white gaming mouse with side buttons will be hard-pressed to find a better option than the HyperX Pulsefire Haste.

The Pulsefire Haste is powered by a Pixart PMW 3335 optical mouse sensor with a maximum DPI of 16,000. The sensor supports a tracking speed of up to 1,000 Hz with a peak tracking rate of 450 IPS and an acceleration of 40g.

For input, the mouse has six programmable buttons with tactile TTC switches and a lifespan of up to 60 million clicks.

You can also configure these buttons via the HyperX NGenuity App, available on both Windows and Mac OS. With the NGenuity app, you can tweak the mouse’s DPI and RGB lighting effects and assign various macros. Unfortunately, the mouse only supports one profile.

As for the test, the left-handed testers found the HyperX Pulsefire a joy to use. Despite having a honeycomb design, the mice didn’t feel fragile, and users reported no creaks or flex.

Overall, HyperX Pulsefire Haste is our top recommendation for left-handed people.

4. Corsair M65 Pro RGB – Best White Gaming Mouse for Big Hands

Are you tired of small mice that don’t offer a satisfying grip? Then the Corsair M65 Pro RGB is just the mouse you need.

At its core is a PMW3360 optical sensor which is good for up to 12,000 DPI, whereas the polling rate is set to 1,000 Hz with a tracking speed of 125 IPS. The mouse has eight programmable buttons, each good for 20 million clicks.

Being a mouse aimed squarely toward people with larger hands, it’s a bit on the heavier side at 115 grams. In addition, it’s slightly ‘hunched’ forward with a large hump at the back, making it the best gaming mouse for palm grip style.

The buttons have a gradual slope, so people who prefer a claw or fingertip-gripping style will feel at home with this mouse.

Despite its large dimensions, the mouse proved surprisingly capable. While the sensor is relatively lacking compared to other mice in this test, notably the Logitech G502 Hero, the Corsair M65 Pro handled itself pretty well.

Despite being at ‘just’ 12,000, the DPI level is more than adequate. In our gaming test, the tracking speed was good, the latency was practically non-existent at 1 ms, and the lightning fast 1,000 Hz polling rate felt like icing on the cake.

The M65 Pro is an excellent offering from Corsair and our top recommendation for people with large hands.

9.4
Corsair M65 PRO RGB
  • 12000 DPI high-accuracy sensor: Custom tuned, gaming grade sensor for pixel-precise tracking
  • Aircraft-grade aluminium structure: Light weight, durability and optimal mass distribution
  • Advanced weight tuning system: Set the centre of gravity to match your play style

5. Razer Atheris – Best White Gaming Mouse for Small Hands

The Razer Atheris packs a lot of heat for such a tiny little body!

An optical sensor powers the mouse with a maximum DPI of 7,200. The tracking speed is 220 IPS with a polling rate of 1,000Hz, the input latency is 1 ms, and the maximum acceleration is 30g.

It also has five programmable buttons that you can configure via Razer Synapse software. And although there’s an onboard internal memory, the mouse supports just a single profile, leaving some users wanting more.

Regarding connectivity, the mouse comes with a standard 2.4G USB wireless dongle. However, there’s also the option to connect the mouse via Bluetooth. Lastly, the mouse has a long battery life of 350 hours.

While the Razer Atheris is relatively small (at just 3.9 x 2.5 x 1.35 inches), it weighs 66 grams. To make matters worse, the mouse requires two AA batteries, adding additional heft to the heavy hardware.

As for our test, the mouse performed great. There was no skipping, jittering, or input latency of any kind. The only downside is its weight.

9.4
Razer Atheris Ambidextrous
  • High-Precision 7200 DPI Optical Sensor: Offers on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment and 1000 Hz ultrapolling in a compact and mobile form-factor
  • 350 Hour Battery Life: Supports wireless, extended gaming sessions using swappable 2x AA batteries (included)
  • 2.4 GHz Wireless & Bluetooth Low-Energy Connectivity Options: Adaptive Frequency Technology switches frequencies upon detecting interference, allowing for lag-free data transmission and stable connections

6. Apple Magic Mouse – Best White Gaming Mouse for Mac

Apple’s own Magic Mouse is the perfect choice for Mac users looking for a sleek, stylish gaming mouse in white.

It’s a compact gaming piece of equipment that feels premium to the touch, has a glossy white surface, and has a metallic aluminum base.

There’s no wireless version for this mouse, meaning you’ll have to pair it with your Mac like any other Bluetooth mouse. Unfortunately, the Apple Magic Mouse lacks 2.4G wireless connectivity, so the polling rate is limited to 125 Hz.

The Apple Magic Mouse uses an internal battery which you can charge up via Apple’s proprietary Lightning Port, located at the bottom of the mouse.

The downward-facing location of this port is a curious choice, to say the least, as you can’t use the mouse while it’s being recharged. But that is hardly a concern as the battery can last for 5 hours after just 2 minutes of charging.

The actual surface of the mouse supports multi-touch. And while it’s a mouse, you can use swipes and various other gestures on the touch surface, just like a trackpad. So in a sense, the Apple Magic is essentially a mouse/trackpad hybrid.

As far as gaming is concerned, the mouse offers a somewhat lackluster performance. The 125 Hz polling rate holds it back in fast-paced eSport titles such as CS: GO. But if you consider yourself a casual gamer, you won’t find many faults with this one.

9.4
Apple Magic Mouse
  • Magic Mouse is wireless and rechargeable, with an optimized foot design that lets it glide smoothly across your desk.
  • The Multi-Touch surface allows you to perform simple gestures such as swiping between web pages and scrolling through documents.
  • The incredibly long-lasting internal battery will power your Magic Mouse for about a month or more between charges.

7. Glorious Model O (Wireless) – Best White Gaming Mouse for PS5

Sony PlayStation 5 owners who need a white RGB wireless mouse to complement their white consoles should consider the Glorious Model O.

It’s an ambidextrous white mouse with a matte white finish and a snazzy-looking honeycomb front plate. On the performance end, the mouse has a potent Pixart PMW 3360 optical sensor at the bottom, suitable for up to 12,000 DPI.

Other features include a 1,000 Hz polling rate with 250 IPS tracking, 0.7mm lift-off distance, and 50g acceleration. Also, there are six programmable buttons, and RGB LED lights, and the entire package weighs just 100g.

You can purchase either the USB or Wireless variant. However, we recommend the wireless variant for PS5 users because of its convenience. Just plug the 2.4G USB wireless dongle into one of the available USB ports on your console, and you’re good to go!

To put the mouse to the test, we played Fortnite on our PS5, one of the few games on the console that natively support a Keyboard/Mouse combo.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, our gaming experience was—glorious (pun intended)! The latency was minimal, and the quick 1,000 polling rate with 1 ms latency was phenomenal. By a stretch, the Glorious Model O Wireless is the best gaming mouse for Fortnite players on the PlayStation 5.

9.4
Glorious Gaming - Model O Wireless
  • Model O Wireless has the lowest wireless latency of any wireless mouse in its class. The state-of-the-industry technology provides responsive, crisp clicks and no unexpected double-clicking.
  • Wired & Wireless Modes: The model o wireless mouse comes with a flexible USB-C Ascended cable for nonstop performance. While plugged in the wireless model o becomes a perfect usb c gaming mouse.
  • Model O Wireless has the highest battery life of any mouse in its class. Up to 71 hours of playtime so you can go all night without recharging. Complete with fast charging to get you back in the game.

8. Logitech G305 LightSpeed – Best Wireless White Gaming Mouse

The Logitech G305 LightSpeed is one of the best wireless white mice in the gaming niche. That’s also because it boasts Logitech’s now signature LightSpeed connectivity, the same tech that made the wireless Logitech G Series famous among elite eSports teams.

Let’s start with the basic specs: the Logitech G305 uses the Hero 12K sensor, which supports a maximum DPI resolution of 12,000 with a polling rate of 1,000 Hz, and an overall latency of just 1 ms.

The tracking speed of the Hero 12K sensor is set at 400 IPS with an acceleration of 40g. Regarding input, the Logitech G305 LightSpeed has six programmable buttons with a lifespan of 10 million clicks. Overall, this is a feature-packed mouse weighing just 99 grams.

One of its most impressive features is its battery life. In high-performance mode, the mouse can last up to 250 hours. There’s also an endurance mode that can extend the battery life to 9 months! Unfortunately, there’s no internal rechargeable battery, and the mouse takes a standard AA cell.

For gaming, the G305 is the best gaming mouse available. For example, in Valorant, the G305 easily kept up with other wired gaming mice – It’s that good!

As far as wireless mice go, the G305 is the best gaming mouse for Valorant and Fortnite players.

9.4
Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED
  • HERO Gaming Sensor: Next-gen HERO mouse sensor delivers up to 10x the power efficiency over other gaming mice with exceptional accuracy and responsiveness thanks to 400 IPS precision and up to 12000 DPI sensitivity
  • LIGHTSPEED Wireless: Ultra-fast LIGHTSPEED Wireless technology gives you a lag-free gaming experience. The G305 wireless gaming mouse delivers incredible responsiveness and reliability with a super-fast 1ms report rate for competition-level performance
  • Ultra-Long Battery Life: The G305 wireless Logitech mouse boasts an incredible 250 hours of continuous gameplay on a single AA battery so you can play at peak performance without worrying about running out of power

9. Razer Viper V2 Pro HyperSpeed – Best White Gaming Mouse for Xbox

Xbox Series S and Series X users wanting to one-up their controller-toting rivals in Fortnite, Minecraft, or Halo – Infinite (to name a few) can consider the Razer Viper V2 Pro HyperSpeed white gaming mouse.

The Razer Viper V2 Pro is a 2.4G wireless gaming mouse with a battery life of up to 80 hours. At its heart, this mouse sports the fantastic Focus Pro 30K optical sensor, which supports a 30,000 DPI resolution.

The mouse’s tracking speed is 750 IPS with a peak supported acceleration of 70G. It has five programmable buttons, and the left/right buttons have Razer’s 3rd Gen. optical switches, which are suitable for a staggering 90 million clicks.

Despite all these bells and whistles, the mouse weighs only 59g. This makes the Razer V2 Pro the second lightest mouse in our test, behind the super lightweight Cooler Master MM710 at just 53g.

In testing, the mouse performed admirably, and we had a blast playing Minecraft on our Xbox Series X. Based on the results, the Razer Viper V2 Pro is the best gaming mouse for Minecraft and Fortnite players on Xbox consoles.

  • Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3: Improved 90-million click lifecycle with zero double-clicking issues and 0.2ms actuation provides reliability and speed built for esports

10. Cooler Master MM710 – Best Lightweight White Gaming Mouse

Not all gamers like heavyweight mice. Some prefer lightweight mice as they offer superior crosshair control, especially in first-person shooters. Our top recommendation for this audience is the Cooler Master MM710.

Cooler Master MM710 is a nippy, featherweight white gaming mouse that weighs just 53g. To put things into perspective, it weighs over 2.5x times less than the Logitech G502 Hero, ‘fully loaded’. Let your mind marinate that for a moment!

But lightweight doesn’t mean light on features. The Cooler Master MM710 is also feature-packed with a PixArt PMW 3389 optical sensor, which supports a maximum resolution of 16,000 DPI.

The polling rate is 1,000 Hz with a tracking speed of 400 IPS and a peak acceleration of 50G. The mouse also has six programmable buttons, and you can store their configuration in the internal 512KB memory buffer.

During the gaming sessions, we were pleasantly surprised by Cooler Master MM710’s performance. While not entirely up to par with the big guns in this test, it comes surprisingly close.

To summarize, if you’re looking for a lightweight, white gaming mouse with holes with a honeycomb design, then the MM710 deserves serious consideration.

How to Choose a White Mouse for Gaming

To choose the best white mouse for gaming, you’ve to consider its following specifications:

1. Sensor

A mouse’s sensor is basically a CMOS sensor that’s typically found in digital cameras. In lay terms, the sensor tracks the mouse’s movement, translates it into digital data, and then sends it to the computer.

There are two types of mouse sensors:

  1. Laser sensors use a laser beam to illuminate the surface below the mouse. The laser beam is visible to the naked eye.
  2. Optical sensors instead rely on an infrared LED (Light Emitting Diode) and offer more precise tracking than laser sensors.

2. DPI

The tracking sensitivity of a mouse is measured in DPI or ‘Dots Per Inch.’ At higher DPIs, the mouse will be more responsive. In competitive gaming, that means quicker 180 and 360-degree turns.

In contrast, a lower DPI enables more accurate aiming because the sensor would not register small mouse movements—ideal for lining up long-range shots, for example.

Most gaming mice come with a dedicated DPI switch—typically located below the scroll wheel—enabling gamers to switch between different DPI levels on the fly.

3. Polling Rate

The frequency at which your gaming mouse’s sensor transmits input data to your computer is called its polling rate.

Most wired gaming mice offer a polling rate of 500 to 1000 Hz. However, wireless Bluetooth mice are typically limited to a polling rate of just 125 Hz.

Wireless mice that use a dedicated 2.4G RF USB dongle can also offer a polling rate of up to 1000 Hz with latency comparable to a wired USB mouse. The Logitech G Pro is a good example of that.

4. Tracking Speed

The linear velocity at which a mouse’s CMOS sensor precisely captures its movement is referred to as its tracking speed.

Measured in IPS or ‘Inches Per Second,’ tracking speed correlates directly with the mouse’s DPI. Higher DPI mice offer superior tracking speeds and vice versa.

5. Angle Snapping

With angle snapping (also known as ‘mouse smoothing’), the mouse sensor ignores a few degrees of movement in other directions to anticipate your hand movement and smooth out the mouse’s overall trajectory.

Angle snapping is a hot topic in various gaming communities. Some gamers prefer the smoother mouse movements that angle snapping provides, whereas others prefer a rawer mouse input.

FAQs

The following are some white mouse FAQs.

Does a White Gaming Mouse Get Dirty?

Yes. A white gaming mouse can get dirty from dust, grime, moisture, oil, grubby fingerprints, and dead skin cells.

Hence, clean your mouse periodically for visual aesthetics and hygiene purposes.

How to Keep Your White Mouse Clean?

In most cases, cleaning the mouse with a soft, damp microfiber cloth should be enough.

If your mouse is particularly dirty, then cleaning sprays, isopropyl alcohol, and even baby wipes get the job done.

How Much Does a Good White Gaming Mouse Cost?

A good white gaming mouse costs anywhere from $50 to $200.

Conclusion

And with that, our review of the top 10 white gaming mice ends. To summarize, all mice in this test are great for competitive eSports gaming and regular day-to-day activities.

Now, all that’s left is for you to your next favorite white mouse and start gaming!
