The Taiwanese hardware maker ASUS announced that it has added the Gladius II Origin gaming mouse to its ROG line-up. Despite its confusing name, this is the third Gladius peripheral the company launches.
The Gladius II Origin is strictly wired and comes with two detachable cables – a braided and a rubber one, respectively. The mouse has the standard right and left clickers, two thumb buttons on the left side, a scroll wheel, and a DPI button. The rubberized sides add an extra grip in heated gameplay moments.
Under the hood, the ROG Gladius II Origin houses Omron developed D2FC-F-K and an Omron D2F-01F switches that have a different resistance and increase its lifespan to 100 million clicks. The so-called “push-fit” socket design makes the switches swapping a no-brainer. The optical sensor offers a max DPI of 12,000.
The mouse has a RGB lighting that can be synced with other ASUS ROG-branded peripherals. To gain access to the button assignment, profile creation or lighting pattern customization options, players need the ROG Armoury app.
The ASUS ROG Gladius II Origin ships with a small pouch for easy transportation. It is now available for $99.99.
