Brendan”PlayerUnknown” Greene announced that Bluehole and Microsoft will focus on accelerating the PUBG console development without sacrificing the quality. Chang Han Kim, the Bluehole Vice President, was quoted as saying that the extended partnership was in the best interest of gamers and developers.

Phil Spencer, the Xbox Head, said that the utmost goal of Microsoft was to provide the global audience with the best Battle Royale experience. He also added that the partnership is beneficial to both parties as Microsoft would speed up the delivery of PUBG to console players thus further boosting its popularity.

During the E3 event, held in June, Microsoft announced that PUBG would be launching exclusively on Xbox One. If the title stays restricted to Xbox One, the company will reap some substantial benefits.

Back in 2015, Microsoft published Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One, and Xbox 360, and the PS4 version arrived a year later. There is no telling if the PUBG will follow the same scenario.

The partnership with Microsoft is expected to be beneficial to PC gamers, too, as the developer will receive an additional support. The general optimization of the game for all players is likely to undergo some alterations.

PUBG will launch exclusively on Xbox One later this year as part of the Xbox Game Preview. The final version will be released in early 2018. It remains to be seen how the PUBG community would react to playing PUBG on Xbox One.
