It seems the stage is all set for one of the biggest game releases of 2017. Destiny 2 console arrival is a couple of hours away but some lucky players got the chance to play the much-anticipated shooter before its release. Bungie has brought the servers online and Destiny 2 fans owning a physical copy of the game are able to start playing right away.
According to the initial plan, the servers had to go live at midnight meaning Australian players will start playing first, while the eager American fans have to wait till last.
To make sure everything is up to the standard for the sequel arrival, the developer conducted multiple Destiny 2 beta, released multiple trailers to give players some fascinating insights and took care of the marketing campaign. As reported by RealGear, Bungie joined forces with Rockstar Energy drink. The Destiny 2-themed cans are already in stock.
September 6th marks the official Destiny 2 console release and those who have purchased the digital copy will be able to play on Xbox One and PS4. However, it is essential to note that the release time of the digital version is different from the release time of Destiny 2 Server.
For instance, US-based players on the West Coast will be able to start playing tonight at 9 PM PT. Having said that, they still have to wait for the Raid and Trials that unlocks next week. The first Nightfall Strike is immediately available, though.
