Destiny 2 Beta will be available today for PS4 players who have pre-ordered the game, but Bungie seems willing to feed up the hype a little bit more. Destiny 1 enabled players to explore Venus, Mars, and Earth. However, Bungie granted Destiny 2 players with access to the minor planet Nessus.

The developer released a new Destiny 2 Nessus gameplay trailer, published on IGN First, showcasing the Nessus planetoid and teasing about the features players will be given access to. The trailer is short on details, but it is stacked with all features that would keep players on their toes until Destiny 2 release.

The Destiny 2 Nessus footage reveals details about the Lost Sectors as well as parts of the map, side quests and Cabal enemies in action. It also confirms one of the heavily rumored changes to Destiny 2 that the patrols will have multiple landing zones. That is a significant improvement as in Destiny 1, players had to make a long ride to get to Skywatch or Archon’s Forge.

There will be 37 points on interest on Nessus – landing zones, treasure maps and adventures being among them. Bungie representatives are expected to confirm whether the Dead Ghosts collectables, available in Destiny, will be available in the sequel.

It is important to note that even players who have pre-ordered the Destiny 2 beta will not have full access to Nessus. The beta does not include any open-world activities, but the Endless Vale and the Inverted Spire strike will be set on Nessus. As a matter of fact, the Inverted Spire strike, as well as the Homecoming and the Control and Countdown PvP modes, will be beta’s focal points. Players will see the Nessus planet in all its glory on September 6th when Destiny 2 releases on PS4 and Xbox One.

The beta starts later today for PS4.
