After weeks of speculations, the eventual release date of Assassin Creed has finally leaked. Ubisoft’s long-anticipated title is rumored to hit the shelves this fall. More precisely, the new entry in the series entitled Assassin Creed: Origins may be launched on October 27th.
The information about the release date came from the upcoming Game Informer issue. A few images made their way online and confirmed the previously rumored name of the game – Assassin Creed: Origins. It also became clear that several versions of the game will be launched. A Gold Steelbook edition will be the cherry on the cake. Its price will gravitate around $110 and it will bundle the game with the season pass. Some other bonuses will also be included.
The leak also verifies the rumors that have been circulating around gamers’ forums for quite some time. Now, it is clear that the Origins’ game action will unfold in ancient Egypt. It will also feature a character named Bayek. Xbox Scorpio support will also be available.
The leak also puts forward the idea that the game will not only be set in ancient Egypt but also it will be available across all platforms – Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The Assassin Creed: Origins is also expected to feature naval combat bearing resemblance to Black Flag.
The user who published the illustrations and the announcement also claims that the game action will unfold during the reign of Cleopatra. What’s more, Assassin’s Creed: Origins may bring a new fighting system, at least two playable characters, a day/ night cycle and no minimap.
Ubisoft, however, is yet to confirm or deny the leaked information. Up to now, the publisher has revealed that the debut of the new Assassin’s Creed game is scheduled for March 2018. Ubisoft is among the E3 attendees. E-sports analysts and fans are impatient to get more details about the game. Ubisoft’s press conference at E3 is to take place on June 12th, at 1 pm PT.
