As reported by RealGear, the next update of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds promises a FOV slider, new riffle, as well as first person servers for Europe and North America. The developer Bluehole announced that these updates would be added on August 3 and cited “complications with a client crash bug” as a reason for the delay. As for the promised in-game skins system that enables players to further customize the characters, it is still on its way, but it will not be released until the game leaves Early Access.
In a post, available at the Steam community PUBG news section, Brendan “PLAYERUNKNOWN” Greene explained that the developer would like to test the basic crate and key system before implementing them in the final version of the game.
As many as three new crates will be launched on August 3rd. They will contain inspired by the Battle Royale movie items. The Wanderer Crate, as well as the Survivor Crate, will be free to open. As for the Gamescom Invitational Crate, it will boast about the greatest versatility as far as themed clothing and cosmetic items are concerned. The Gamescom Invitational Crate can be opened with a key players can obtain for $2,50. Alternatively, they can use their Battle Points.
The crate is named after the upcoming Gamescom event because during the conference, the “best Battlegrounds content creators” will run daily events. The Gamescom PUBG Invitational will the first PUBG offline event where participants will compete in daily qualifiers.
The funds generated from the key purchase for the Gamescom Invitational Crate will be used for awarding the Invitational winners. Certain charitable causes are also to be supported.
