ASTRO Gaming has published a press statement introducing a Call of Duty WWII-themed headset. In terms of technical characteristics, the new headset is similar to ASTRO A10. The latter has gained popularity as the most inexpensive piece of gaming gear ASTRO has ever unleashed.

The Call of Duty model has an olive-green and black setup that evokes associations with the gears and uniforms used during the World War II. The headset also features a broken skull on one earcup and a Stars and Stripes-style insignia on the other.

The press release ASTRO released reads that the headset is “entirely new and highly customized”, and it is “tuned for gaming”. The CoD WWII-themed headset possesses a uni-directional microphone, a flip-to-mute function, in-line volume control, as well as a Game/Voice Balance feature. The headset is lightweight and designed to ensure comfort during prolonged Call of Duty gaming sessions.

According to players who commented on the new arrival via the social networks, ASTRO has carefully chosen the timing of the headset release.

The Call of Duty World League Championship, held in Orlando has just wrapped up. OpTic Gaming defeated EnvyUs and triumphed at the CoD Champs 2017. Matthew “FormaL” Piper was crowned the ASTRO Gaming MVP for the event.

It seems ASTRO has decided to catch the wave and use the tournament buzz to boost the popularity of the budget model headset. It is also important to note that the Call of Duty WWII is slated for launch in November and the new headset is expected to provoke players’ interest.

The cod themed headset is compatible with Xbox and PS4 consoles, PC, Mac, as well as Nintendo Switch.

Currently, the Call of Duty WWII-themed headset is available for pre-order at the official company website at a price of $69.99. All pre-ordered items will be shipped by the end of August.
