Representatives of the popular gaming gear brand COUGAR announced that the company has added a new headset to its line-up. COUGAR introduced the Immersa Pro gaming headset – the worthy successor of the well-known COUGAR Immersa.

The Immersa Pro is widely promoted as the most powerful headset in COUGAR’s portfolio. What makes it different from its predecessor is the availability of 7.1 Virtual Surround Audio and a USB connectivity option. The Immersa Pro features 50mm drivers, while the Immersa headset has 40 mm drivers. The soon-to-be-released headset also boasts an ergonomic design and RGB lighting features.

The integration of a 7.1 Virtual Surround sound is a giant leap towards providing customers with a gaming accessory that is in-line with the products unleashed by COUGAR’s fearsome rivals.

The RGB backlight is yet another improvement that is not present in the Immersa headset. Users will be able to choose between 16.8 million colors and adjust the patterns to their liking.

As for the sound quality, the Immersa Pro comes with 50mm Neodymium drivers that ensure rich audio.

The new headset has a metallic design and a suspended headband that distributes the weight evenly and allows prolonged use. The Pro headset also possesses omnidirectional adaptive ear shells and 100mm ear pads that ensure user’s comfort and isolate the environmental noise. The headset controls are located on the earcups.

The Immersa Pro headset has a retractable microphone and LED lights alerting the user when the microphone is on/muted.

The headset is fully customizable via the COUGAR UIX software. It is compatible with desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, consoles, and handheld consoles.

COUGAR is yet to specify a release date. At the time of writing, the pre-order of the Immersa Pro headset is not possible either. Still, the headset is expected to become available at some major online retailers on August 17th at a suggested price of $89.99.
