Razer Bestsellers Now Available in White and Grey

Up until now, Razer has stuck to the standard black and green design of all peripherals it rolled out. However, it seems the company has decided to set a new trend as it introduced the Mercury White and Gunmetal Grey editions. As their names imply, the “Mercury” pieces of gaming gear are available in ethereal white and the “Gunmetal” items are available in dark grey metallic sheen.

The “revamped” peripherals are as follows: Razer Lancehead TE mouse, Razer BlackWidow X Chroma keyboard, Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 headset and Razer Invicta mouse pad. Broadly speaking, these are the components one needs to make a gaming hardware setup in white or grey. Contrary to all expectations, the re-designed items remain at the same price.

As a matter of fact, Razer has repeatedly hinted at a possible deviation from the black and green combination. Back in June, the company unleashed the Razer Blade Stealth laptop that was available in grey. North American customers also stumbled upon a non-illuminated Razer logo. In addition, the company is going to release Destiny 2-themed peripherals in black and white.

Although some market analysts expect the sudden change of peripherals’ colors to have a negative impact on Razer’s brand recognition, their fears seem groundless, as Razer is one of the most established companies on the market.

As for the Mercury and Gunmetal editions, they are available for purchase at company’s store. However, at the time of writing, the Razer BlackWidow X Chroma Mercury and Gunmetal editions are not available in all regional stores. It will probably take some time until logistic issues are resolved and keyboards with different layouts are stocked in the regional Razer stores.
