It seems that Blizzard Entertainment is trying to get into the spirit of Halloween with a new hero reveal for Hearthstone. Players will be able to unlock a new Warlock hero portrait – the gnome Nemsy Necrofizzle.

For the purpose, they have to play a Fireside Brawl on the official Fireside Gathering page. According to Blizzard, Nemsy “will be available for free at established Fireside Gathering Taverns starting on Oct. 17.” The Hallow’s End Fireside Gatherings wrap up on November 5, but Nemsy will be available at Taverns after that date, too.

Although hero portraits are just cosmetics, they help players customize their Hearthstone experience. Some of the portraits can be purchased for real money, while others can be unlocked by subscribing for Twitch Prime, for instance.

Most Hearthstone hero portraits originate from the Warcraft games, but Nemsy is an exception. She is a Hearthstone original that has previously appeared in the art for Bog Creeper and Fen Creeper cards. Blizzard has been teasing about her presence for more than a year. Eagle-eyed Hearthstone players can find the gnome riding atop the 7-mana Bog Creeper. It is a pity that she will rotate out of Standard next year.

Hallow End Fireside Gatherings can be held between October 9 and November 5. Everyone is welcome to host a Fireside Gathering after receiving an approval from Blizzard. It is important to note that the Fireside Gatherings are team events, so one needs at least two fellow-players to play and unlock the Nemsy Necrofizzle.
