Mario Kart fans assemble! Closed beta test of Mario Kart Tour on Android devices is now open for registrations.

Nintendo announced that starting on April 23rd until May 7th, at 7:59 pm PT/10:59 pm ET Android users can sign up for the Mario Kart Tour closed beta. The interested parties will be granted this opportunity thru this website.
Limited Slots
However, not everyone can be accommodated according to Nintendo. The number of closed beta participants is limited. If the numbers are too high, participants may be picked randomly to fill the testing pool.
The closed beta is currently scheduled to be rolled out in Japan and the US from May 22nd through June 4th. Nintendo advises fans to keep an eye out though, as the announced dates might change without prior warning.
Information is limited, and there is no report yet on when an iOS closed beta will push through. Fans can be certain though, that the full game will be available for iOS devices.
Waiting Game
Mario Kart Tour was originally announced way back in 2018 and was then delayed for Summer 2019. Nintendo said that the move was made “In order to improve the quality of the application and expand the content offerings after launch”.
Mario Kart Tour is part of Nintendo’s newly focused mobile strategy that has seen such titles released as Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Super Mario Run.
