The Xbox One X was introduced at this year’s E3 and it was defined as the most sophisticated and “the most powerful console” Microsoft has ever crafted. The new console is to be released on November 7th, but it is still unavailable for pre-order in the UK, Australia, and the US.
Last month, Phil Spenser, the Xbox head, tweeted that it “won’t be too much longer” before the console is available for pre-order. Since then, Microsoft has not provided any sufficient information on the matter.
Earlier today, Spenser answered a fan’s question on Twitter and shared that more information about console’s pre-order will be provided on August 17th.
It remains unclear why Microsoft has decided to break the silence exactly on August 17th. Regardless, the announcement will satisfy the curiosity of all players impatient to know when the console will be available for purchase.
In a series of tweets, Spencer confirmed that fans should expect more information about the Xbox One X support during the Gamescom event. Microsoft’s Gamescom briefing is scheduled for August 20th, 12PM PT (8PM BST/ 5AM AEST on August 21st). Apart from the Xbox One X pre-order revelations, players also expect more details about the new games the company is working on.
