New York City will host a Fortnite event presented by Samsung and Super League Gaming this weekend. Famous streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and a K-pop group iKON will participate in the said competition. The finals are geared to be streamed via the organizer Super League Gaming’s Twitch channel.

This is not the first time that Ninja collaborated with Samsung. He previously teamed up with the Electronics giant to promote the Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.

What to Expect

The Samsung Presents Level Up event will take place at the Samsung 837 venue in New York City this Saturday, March 16th, 2019.  Registered players will face-off in the popular battle royale game Fortnite using the company’s newest flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S10+ smartphone.

Contestants will earn points during the first stage of the competition and highest scores will grant advancing in the game. The next stage will feature the top 12 finalists who will have a chance to compete in a match with both Ninja and members of iKON. The star-studded showdown will take place on a new island created within Fortnite‘s Creative mode.

Reconnecting with Players

“Samsung created an incredible opportunity for everyday players to experience the power of gaming on Samsung Galaxy S10+ devices,” Super League Gaming’s chief commercial officer Matt Edelman said to sources from The Esports Observer. “Our mission in collaborating with them was to design a program that would make it fun for a teenager from Queens to end up playing alongside a global K-Pop star and a top Fortnite streamer. We’re excited to be able to share Samsung Presents Level Up with the world through SuperLeagueTV on Twitch,” he added.

The K-pop group iKON is expected to perform live on the event. Fans of Ninja will have an opportunity for a panel discussion and a meet-and-greet session with the Twitch superstar.
