Respawn Entertainment, Titanfall 2 developer, announced details about the upcoming updates and confirmed that the game will be compatible with Xbox One X. The latter will be released on November 7. It is advertised as the 4K-capable cousin of the Xbox One S.

Although Respawn has not shared detailed information about the Xbox One X support, players at least got a confirmation that 4K resolution with dynamic super scaling will be added to the console.

Currently, Titanfall 2 features dynamic 4K resolution support for PS4 Pro. However, the optimal resolution is 1440p. At the Xbox One X version, the resolution will be capped at 2160p.

Titanfall 2 debuted in November 2016 across all platforms – PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The single player campaign has quickly gained tremendous popularity, while the multiplayer campaign could not capture players’ attention.

Although Titanfall 2 was not among the widely discussed titles during the E3 event, the publisher keeps grinding more or less significant changes and updates. The War Games map will go live on June 27. Titanfall 2 owners will get it free of charge. The most significant change the update will bring is the upgrade from carrying three weapons instead of two. That will give pilots more freedom of choice when it comes to the loadout they can take into battle. The trailer of the War Games free DLC is to be released soon.

The second map arriving with the update is Traffic. However, it will be available for the Live Fire game mode only.

A new execution will also be available, but players will gain access to it upon killing 20 pilots while the holo pilot ability is active. The Titan Brawl mode will be added as a permanent game mode. The Free Agents will become a new featured mode. The release of the full changelog set is expected anytime now. Respawn also mentioned some stat changes regarding the playerbase.

As for the July update, the developer hinted at a possible return of a game mode available at Titanfall. Titanfall 2 fans keep their fingers crossed that next month they will get their favorite Defense co-op mode.
