KONAMI Enters Into Partnership with Valencia CF for PES 2018

Earlier today, KONAMI DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT B.V. announced that it has become the Official Video Gaming Partner of the Spanish football club Valencia CF. According to the agreement, KONAMI is granted the permission to use the home, away and third kits of the La Liga team in the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) series.

According to the agreement, KONAMI is granted the permission to use the home, away and third kits of the La Liga team in the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) series. The skills and faces of the squad members will also be recreated in the game. In addition, series of digital co-promotions will be launched throughout the year. Valencia will also host PES e-sports competitions at the Mestalla Stadium.

Jorge García, Valencia CF Head of Marketing Commercial and Fan Experience Area, said that club officials were delighted at the opportunity to work with KONAMI. He also added that KONAMI would take the Club to millions of gamers thus further boosting its popularity.

Jonas Lygaard – Senior Director – Brand & Business Development at KONAMI also commented on the partnership. He said that Valencia was a club with rich history and KONAMI was honored to be its Official Video Game Partner.

According to people with knowledge of the matter, the partnership between Valencia CF and KONAMI comes as no surprise. Over the last couple of months, KONAMI has been actively seeking methods for attracting some of the most prominent football clubs on a global scale for its PES series.

As for Valencia CF, it is one of the most successful Spanish clubs. The team has scooped numerous domestic and international titles and it also triumphed at the UEFA Cup competition in 2004.

PES 2018 will be launched on September 14th. The Steam version has undergone significant improvements as far as content and design is concerned so that players can get an ultimate gaming experience.

Prior to inking a partnership deal with Valencia, KONAMI has also attracted the English football team Fulham. The full list of licensed teams is expected to be revealed at GamesCom that kicks off on August 23rd in Cologne, Germany.
