Rocket Pass Is Here!
On Tuesday, August 27th, the much-awaited next season of ranked Rocket League will be launched. The next day, Wednesday, August 28th, Rocket Pass 4 will be made available with new items to unlock in the typical free and paid versions.
New Car
The new car, which will be made available for you when you purchase the Rocket Pass, is called the Mudcat. This is the latest rally-inspired Battle-Car, which features an Octane hitbox. Basically, it is safe to assume a lot of it will be seen, as the Octane hitbox is currently the most popular one in the game. Very much like the previous Rocket Passes, you’ll get the Mudcat as soon as you pay for that Rocket Pass Premium.
While the overall structure of the Rocket Pass is pretty much the same, there are remarkable modifications in this latest pass. Psyonix said that it has improved Weekly Challenges. They also noted that these changes are based on community feedback. New challenges won’t expire with the conclusion of the respective week. This means that you can do your Weekly Challenges at your own pace throughout Rocket Pass 4.
Climbing Tiers
In the meantime, similar to Rocket Pass 3, the Free and Premium tracks will have three new challenges each week. If you completed each of them, it would help you climb the tiers faster. Each Weekly Challenge is worth three, five, or eight Tier Points depending on the challenge involved. For Rocket Pass 4, there are 70 tiers, but there are also Pro Tiers that give Painted and Special Edition versions of select Rocket Pass 4 items. All of these are tradeable. However, remember that they will only begin to unlock after you complete all 70 tiers.
The Rocket Pass will go live at 10:00 a.m. PDT on August 28th, and will run until December 4th. Also, a reminder, know that the premium version can be unlocked with 10 keys.
