The League of Legends e-sports team Unicorns of Love has entered into a partnership agreement with Trust Gaming. The latter is a Dutch company that specializes in manufacturing digital lifestyle accessories. The joint venture of the Unicorns of Love and Trust Gaming was turned into reality due to the Lagardère Sports’ assistance. The Lagardère Sports is leading global sports marketing agency, that represents not only the UoL, but also the Team Roccat and SK Gaming.
Jurgen Verheijen, a Marketing Manager at Trust International, was quoted as saying that the partnership truly reflects company’s logo – #buildingchampions. He also added that the support of the Unicorns of Love enables Trust Gaming to enhance its product line-up. Mr. Verheijen did not miss to mention that the company was proud of the fact that its accessories would help the UoL team achieve better results.
Thomas Ottl, the Lagardère Sports Germany GmbH’s Esports Manager, said that Trust Gaming and the Unicorns of Love complement each other and this was a mutually beneficial partnership. On one hand, the UoL players will be able to use high-quality gaming accessories. On the other hand, Trust Gaming will gain wider visibility and its popularity among pro gamers will be increased.
Trust has been actively seeking partnerships with prominent e-sports teams lately. Apart from working in collaboration with the Unicorns of Love, the company has also joined forces with Epsilon eSports. These partnerships are yet another confirmation of the marketing trend that is an expected consequence of the ongoing gaming industry expansion. More and more brands opt for the so- called natural advertising. They sign e-sports pros who use their accessories. In return, they achieve the desired popularity boost.
Aside from the UoL and Trust Gaming venture, the other prominent deals between hardware companies and e-sports teams include the partnership between Turtle Beach and Astralis, and Laser Kittenz and JetSmarter.
