As reported by RealGear, Telltale Games was expected to introduce The Wolf Among Us 2 during the Comic-Con event that kicks off tomorrow at San Diego Convention Center. However, the developer has made an announcement prior to the event start and confirmed that a second season of The Wolf Among Us will be released in 2018. In addition, Telltale revealed details about the final season of The Walking Dead and the Batman series.
The developer released a video that provides a glimpse into The Wolf Among Us 2 content. The video starts with the voice actors from the first season and then, game developers read tweets of fans who have been impatiently waiting for news regarding The Wolf Among Us 2. The video ends with some in-game shots. Although the teaser did not outline major insights into the game, it fueled fans’ interest in game’s sequel.
Nevertheless, the video made it clear that Erin Yvette and Adam Harrington will return to game’s sequel as Snow and Bigby. They teased that season two will feature a “new story, a new mystery”.
The second season will be based on the Fables comic book series. For the time being, Telltale seems reluctant to disclose additional information but promises “a fresh story arc for its returning cast of characters.”
A release date is yet to be set, but the game’s debut will most probably take place in the second half of 2018. Telltale’s press release reads that The Wolf Among Us 2 will launch across all platforms- PS4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as PC, Mac, iOS and Android-run devices. It remains uncertain whether the game will have a Switch version. Telltale Games’ representatives said that game’s compatibility with additional platforms would be revealed at a later stage.
