of the AGON series. I like the combination of the matte black frame, accentuated by red chevron on the back.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is stylish without being too flashy. Although this model isn&#8217;t bezel-free, the frame is not that big and will not hinder you in any way.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another thing I like about the AOC AG241QX is its robust build. The display remains firm even with frequent movements and tilting, which is possible due to the uniquely designed metal stand.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is also a bit of freedom in terms of adjustment. The mechanism on the base can tilt, swivel, pivot, and change height. I also like that there are position markers on some spots which help you remember your setup height.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Display_and_Performance\">Display and Performance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The AOC AG241QX has a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time. Quite good for a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.realgear.net\/low-input-lag-gaming-monitors\/\"> low input lag monitor,<\/a> especially if you are into competitive FPS gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trying out this panel, I noticed that pixels are more packed, given the size of this display. It eliminates graininess commonly associated with low-resolution screens.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you love playing fast-paced games, then the AOC AG241QX will not let you down. This panel has a fast response time and high refresh rate that make it almost blur-free.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Playing CS: GO and The Division, I did not encounter any ghosting or retention. I do recommend the Medium overdrive setting as the most reliable. Why? Well, I noticed that the max level will induce overshoot on some picture details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m also impressed by the motion handling. During my Overwatch session, I&#8217;ve managed to react faster and see the action better. This monitor can use FreeSync tech to display variable frame rates. You need to make sure that you are using a compatible AMD Radeon video card, though &#8211; RX Vega, 5700, or 500 series. The faster it is, the better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Picture quality is not super clear and crisp as you would get from a high-end gaming monitor. This is not 4k level; however, it will still be sharp enough for you to enjoy gaming. Note that the main selling point of this monitor is its refresh rate and fast-paced game handling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lovable fact for long-session gamers is that the backlight of the AOC AG241QX 144Hz monitor is flicker-free. This means that there&#8217;s an integrated low-blue light filter that will<a href=\"https:\/\/www.realgear.net\/eye-strain-prevention-guide-for-gamers\/\"> prevent eye strain<\/a> and fatigue common with gamers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Controls_and_Added_Features\">Controls and Added Features<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"239\" src=\"https:\/\/www.realgear.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/aoc-agon-ag241qx-24-gaming-monitor-controls-300x239-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4820\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The controls of this monitor are quite easy to use. The OSD (On Screen Display) controls can be found on the right of the bottom bezel. The buttons are facing downwards, but with the white button labels printed on the front, everything is comprehensible. Tweak at will.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternatively, you can use the QuickSwitch device that is provided in the package. This mini remote will let you connect to the monitor&#8217;s mini-USB port. The device will allow you to navigate controls and quickly toggle between picture presets. You can put it anywhere &#8211; just bear in mind you will need a long cable.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are also additional gaming features that I found handy. The Shadow Control and Game Color is a feature that will increase the visibility of objects in dark video game areas. I found this useful when navigating through Resident Evil 2 (Remake).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are pre-calibrated picture presets and three customizable gamer modes. Also, there are three gamma presets that are in place, along with four response time overdrive options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Connectivity\">Connectivity<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.realgear.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/aoc-agon-ag241qx-side-view-and-controls-300x270-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4819\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Connectivity options are sufficient on this panel. It includes a DisplayPort 1.2, two HDMI 2.0s, a VGA, and a DVI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the right side of the screen, you can find some useful ports: a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 3.5mm audio input, and 2 USB 3.0 ports. The yellow USB port is for fast charging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Final_Verdict\">Final Verdict<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, this display is a very good choice for gaming. The AGON AG241QX is exceptionally responsive thanks to its high native refresh rate and low input lag. The monitor also supports FreeSync, so adjusting the refresh rate to your liking is easy.
