Are you an FPS or MMO type of guy? FPS mice <\/a>are usually preferred with fewer buttons, whereas MMO mice <\/a>are the exact opposite. Either way, the number of buttons is an important requirement and a major field in your checklist of factors in buying a gaming mouse. <\/a>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Say, you answered ‘MMO’. This genre is played better off with more buttons, but then you have to consider the possibility of cluttered peripheral. In fact, it could be worse than something overly conservative.
