While some players consider the RGB mousepads unnecessary, others regard them as versatile accessories that take them one step closer to the full customization of their gaming systems. It seems that Cooler Master has spotted the great selling potential of the RGB mousepads and introduced the MasterAccessory RGB Hard Gaming Mousepad.
The company is well-aware that the RGB mousepads are usually seen as flashy devices that do as good job as the “no frills” ones, and hurried up to clarify that the MasterAccessory RGB mousepad “isn’t all about looks.”
Cooler Master representatives elaborate that the mousepad is “optimized for peak performance”. Its low-friction surface is said to make it suitable for both optical and laser mice sensors. Strange enough, only three of the mouse pad sides have lighting zones, but the MasterAccessory RGB Mousepad ensures that all sides are lit up, in sync.
The exact dimensions of the mousepad are 350mm/ 13.7 inches (W) X 264mm/ 10.39 inches (H) X 2mm/ 0.07 inches (D). It weighs 808 grams/ 28.5 oz. The five rubber pads keep it in place during heated battles. The 1.6m braided USB cable is connected to an aluminum bracket. The device features five preset lighting effects and animations. They can be changed via a touch-sensitive button.
Currently, the MasterAccessory RGB mousepad is can be purchased via selected retailers only. There is no telling if and when it will be distributed across all leading third-party retailers. The mousepad costs $30, meaning it is more affordable than all its competitors. However, to keep the price low, Cooler Master have sacrificed some customization features available at its more expensive siblings.
