The subscription box service company Loot Crate announced that it will roll out a Call of Duty: WWII special edition crate to celebrate the arrival of the vintage-flavored shooter. According to the released statement, the “one-time only, limited edition mystery crate” will include CoD: WWII – themed items that won’t be available anywhere else.
The crate will hit the shelves in December. The Call of Duty: WWII itself will be released across all platforms on November 7th. The crate will cost $50 including shipping and handling, but the price for international shipping is yet to be announced.
As for the items that will be included in the crate, they will probably remain a secret until the official release of the box. Still, the pre-order information posted on Loot Crate’s website says that the crate will contain a mixture of gear, clothing, and collectibles. The total value of the included items is estimated at $90.
Chris Davis, Loot Crate’s CEO, defined the cratebox as a “product of unique caliber” that would allow CoD players to engage with the game in new ways and take “their fandom to the next level”. He also added that the team was thrilled at the opportunity to develop the Call of Duty: WW2 Limited Edition Crate and share it with all fans impatient to see the game “returning to its roots”.
This is not the first time when Loot Crate and Activision join forces to release a Call of Duty – themed product. Back in 2015, the two companies worked together for the Black Ops 3 – inspired crate to celebrate the game release.
It is important to highlight that the loot crate edition is a one-time only deal. It is already available for pre-order at the official site of the manufacturer.
