Doomfist was one of the most-anticipated Overwatch heroes but soon after his release players got frustrated with his gameplay-related issues. As a developer that takes pride in listening to community’s feedback, Blizzard gave players an update on the upcoming bug fixes and changes the insanely mobile character is slated to receive.

The principal Overwatch designer Geoff Goodman took the Doomfist bugs matter to the official forums and revealed his current status, as well as the course of action devs are going to take to remedy the situation.

A few character issues have already been solved on the PTR, including the Wall Slamming. That being said, the development team is working on the Seismic Slam, Ghost Punches, and Corner Bounce.

The Rocket Punch now destroys breakable objects. As for the Seismic Slam, Goodman said that Doomfist will “slide a small ways up ramps instead of instantly triggering.”

There is no clue how many fixes will be rolled with the next Overwatch patch. Blizzard will either unleash a massive patch containing all major updates or release them in waves. Some of the bug fixes are live on the PTR, but others are still in the works.

The announcement Goodman made was well-accepted by the Overwatch community. Players agreed that despite the fact that the meta is a healthy place right now, there is much to be desired as far as Doomfist gameplay is concerned. They did not miss to ask if Doomfist is going to receive any buffs or quality of life changes anytime soon and remained hopeful that the character will “feel better” once most bugs are fixed.
