After the release of several high-quality pieces of gaming merchandise, the e-sports team Ninjas in Pyjamas and its gaming gear brand Xtrfy announced the upcoming release of the K3 mem-chanical keyboard. The latter has been designed for a broad audience and tailored to meet the needs of casual players and e-sports pros alike. The membrane-based construction and the mem-chanical key switch design are among the biggest selling points of the K3.
Erik Jensen, CTO at Xtrfy, said that the premium-quality mechanical keyboards are a bit expensive and not all gamers can afford to purchase one. The K3 keyboard bridges the gap and offers the feeling of a mechanical keyboard at a reasonable price.
K3 is a corded keyboard, possessing the standard 105-keys, and made of high-quality materials ensuring a long-term usage. The keyboard comes with RGB LED illumination, anti-ghosting capabilities, a 19-key rollover, and 1000Hz polling rate for accurate response. The key switches are splash-resistant and their lifespan is estimated at 20 million keystrokes.
The K3 mem-chanical keyboard is a plug-and-play affair. It does not require any software and customers are enabled to start playing as soon as they take it out of the box.
The K3 mem-chanical keyboard is available for pre-order at selected online retailers but it will hit stores in November. Xtrfy announced that it will arrive together with the H1 headset and the M1 NiP edition gaming mouse. The keyboard itself will cost €79 ($90), while the mouse and the headset will come at a retail price of €75 ($88) and €169 ($198), respectively.
