SteelSeries announced that it has added a new peripheral to its Rival line-up. The company introduced the Rival 110 gaming mouse which possesses all essential features of the Rival 310 and Sensei 310 but comes at a reduced price.

The biggest selling point of the Rival 110 gaming mouse is the new TrueMove1 sensor tracking technology. The TrueMove1 optical sensor has been developed in collaboration with PixArt. It is designed for professional level gaming and combines advanced jitter reduction and ultra-low signal to response latency.

SteelSeries confirmed that the Rival 110 possesses the same outstanding tracking capabilities of the TrueMove3 sensor found in Rival 310 and Sensei 310. However, it offers lower DPI (up to 7,200). The IPS is reduced to 240.

The Rival 110 gaming mouse is lightweight (87.5g) and therefore suitable for first person shooters. It comes with 6 buttons and an ambidextrous shape. The mechanical switches are designed to withstand at least 30 million clicks. In addition, it has an onboard memory, RGB illumination and rubberized texture to the sides.

Jason Christian, the SteelSeries’ Category Manager for Mice & Keyboards commented on the Rival 110 arrival. He was quoted as saying that the expansion of the TrueMove line of sensors and the introduction of the TrueMove1, in particular, gives players the chance to explore the true 1 to 1 tracking without breaking the bank. This time around, SteelSeries targets the budget-conscious gamers, so the Rival 110 comes at a pretty welcoming price.

Currently, the Rival 110 gaming mouse can be purchased via the SteelSeries website at a suggested price of $39.99. At some point, it will be available for purchase at selected online retailers.
