For this review, we asked our in-house team members, parents of tweens and preschoolers, about the features they look for when shopping for a gaming chair for their younglings. Their recommendations were heavily weighted. 

We also scoured dozens of Reddit threads, online sources, and scientific studies to understand better what chairs are suitable for kids from a design standpoint. 

According to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC), children aged 8 to 12 have an average height ranging from 47 to 64 inches and weigh between 44 to 136 pounds. Meanwhile, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a maximum daily game time of 2 hours for children under 12. These guidelines served as important considerations for us when selecting the gaming chairs.

This whole exercise took us over 130 hours. No stones were left unturned because we understand how important it is for you to choose the right chair for your child.
