The popular manufacturer of computer hardware products Gigabyte announced that its brand AORUS will release the H5 gaming headset soon. The biggest selling point of the H5 is the 50mm beryllium metal drivers. The majority of headsets use neodymium drivers, but the beryllium ones ensure enhanced sound reproduction, which makes them particularly suitable for gaming purposes.

The AORUS H5 comes with a USB connector for powering the RGB LED feature, as well as a 3-ring 3.5mm analog jack. The lighting patterns can be fully customized via the AORUS RGB fusion lighting software, which also allows users to sync all compatible devices.

At a first glance, the H5 headset looks a bit bulky, but the truth is that it is impressively lightweight. The AORUS H5 tips the scales at 285g (approx 10 oz).

In terms of comfort, the AORUS H5 does not disappoint, either. The frame is featherlight and designed to reduce the pressure around the ears. The adjustable headbands promote the equal distribution of the weight thus minimizing the fatigue during long gaming sessions. The headband itself is cushioned, so are the ear cups. Although the headset does not have a special noise-cancelling feature, the ear cups effectively block the external noise.

As for the microphone, it is detachable and bendable. The in-line sound control remote provides players with easy access to all essential features. The availability of a 3.5mm jack makes the AORUS H5 compatible with all platforms – PCs, consoles, and mobile devices.

At the time of writing, Gigabyte has not disclosed information regarding price and availability.
