A week after the introduction of the updated MX Master 2S and MX Anywhere 2S gaming mice, Logitech has released two headsets aimed at casual gamers. The G433 7.1 and G233 Prodigy Gaming headsets are dual mode devices, and apart from gaming purposes, they can be used for listening to music on the go and communicating via video chat apps.
Both models feature the Pro-G audio drivers that have become a must-have feature of the gaming-oriented peripherals Logitech releases. The headsets are lightweight, which makes them suitable for use not only in front of the PC but also for listening to music or audio books outdoors.
The company is going to officially introduce the new devices during the Electronic Entertainment Expo that is to take place from June 13th to June 15th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
In a special statement, released by the vice president and general manager of Logitech G, Ujesh Desai, he says that the headsets would be a good fit for anyone who loves gaming and listening to music on the go. The headphones are compatible with PCs, and PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo switches, and mobile devices. They are tailored to meet users’ needs as far as versatility and compatibility are concerned. The well-thought-out design enables users to remove the boom microphone and take the headphones outdoors. The presence of the Pro-G drivers ensures minimal distortion.
The G433 model uses DTS Headphone:X 7.1 to provide users with clear highs and lows. As for its in-game capabilities, the G433 allows players to hear the environmental effects and positional audio the game designers have incorporated. The seven audio channels can be individually tuned. G433 is made of stain-resistant materials and it will be available in four colors – Fire Red, Triple Black, Royal Blue, and Camo Blue. However, the Camo Blue version will be sold in North America only. The price of the G433 is expected to be around $100. The model ships with a second set of microfiber ear pads.
The G233 Prodigy headsets offer Cyan Blue ear pads. The model will be available in black color only. The headsets also feature removable, breathable mesh ear pads that make the cleaning a no-brainer. The price of the G233 is set at $80.
Although Logitech is yet to specify when the headsets will be distributed among retailers, expectations are that users will put hands on the G233 and G433 headsets no later than the beginning of July.
