A few weeks ago, Тhe Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt RED announced that it would release a patch enabling The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt players to enjoy enhanced graphics on PS4 Pro. Late on Wednesday, the award-winning action RPG received an update that upscaled the native 1800p resolution to 4K graphics. The developer made an official statement to confirm that 1.51 update is now live.

The release of 1.51 update means that the main game, as well as the additional content, features now support 4K resolution on PS4 Pro system. The size of the new patch is 140 MB.

In September, the CD Projekt RED CEO Adam Kiciński revealed that the company was readying the same functionality for Xbox One X. What is more, the 4K support for Xbox One X is expected to arrive before the end of the year. The Xbox One X console itself is set to release on November 7.

Currently, The Witcher 3: Wild Hund is available for PC, Xbox One, and Ps4. Back in May 2016, the game received its last expansion “Blood and Wine”. Then, the development team focused on the next title – Cyberpunk 2077. The latter is under intense development and more or less reliable sources suggest that it will be launched sometime in 2019.
