The German gaming gear maker Roccat announced that it has added a new peripheral in its portfolio. The company introduced the Khan Pro stereo gaming headset during the Chinajoy Expo 2017 event currently taking place in Shanghai.
What makes the Khan Pro headset stand out from the rest is the fact that it is the first Hi-Res-Audio certified piece of gaming gear. The frequency range is between 20Hz and 40Hz, which allows users to elevate their gaming and hear some of the most subtle in-game sound nuances.
The Khan Pro has a “Real-Voice-Mic” feature said to ensure the most natural voice transmission possible. Khan’s Pro capability of picking up lower frequencies makes the human voice sounds real and facilitates the communication via gaming voice platforms.
The volume controls are located on the right ear cup. The headset itself is very lightweight. It tips the scales at 203 grams (approx 7.1 oz). The soft padding at the top further contributes to players’ comfort during long gaming sessions. The Khan Pro is a corded headset, but the cable is pre-sleeved and braided, so kinking is kept to the minimum.
According to people who keep a close eye on the peripherals Roccat releases, the Khan Pro is a worthy successor to the Roccat Cross. The fact that the Khan Pro was granted a “Hi-Res-Audio” certificate is pointed as its biggest selling point. Ambitious gamers expect the headset to deliver superior audio quality and help them identify an enemy even in the most complex situations.
The Khan Pro gaming headset will be available in white, black and grey. Roccat is yet to specify a release date, but it will most probably hit the shelves sometime in October. The price is set at $99.
