The hardware maker SteelSeries announced that it has added a new peripheral to its line-up. The company introduced the Arctis 3 Bluetooth gaming headset that enables the user to simultaneously hear audio from a Bluetooth device and a wired connection.
The Arctis 3 can be connected to a PC, Mac, Xbox One or PS4 via a cable. At the same time, you can connect it to a mobile device via Bluetooth. In other words, users are enabled to hear the sound of their game loud and clear via the wired connection and take a call via the Bluetooth connection. One of the biggest selling points of the new headset is that it is also compatible with Nintendo Switch.
Brian Fallon, Audio Category Manager at SteelSeries, commented on the Arctis 3 Bluetooth headset arrival. He said that the Bluetooth connectivity was useful for establishing a wireless connection to mobile devices, chat, and music but in terms of gaming, Bluetooth was notorious for the excessive latency. That is why the SteelSeries decided to give customers the best of both worlds and make a wired headset that also features a Bluetooth connectivity.
The Arctis 3 Bluetooth headset also comes with low-distortion speakers that enhance the audio quality, ear cushions made of AirWeave fabric, as well as a ski goggle headband that make the device suitable for long gaming marathons. The headset is also equipped with a ClearCast retractable mic. The bi-directional system eliminates all background noise. All settings are accessible via the intuitive SteelSeries Engine software.
Currently, the Arctis 3 Bluetooth headset is available for purchase directly from the SteelSeries store and retails at $130.
