The renowned manufacturer of gaming peripherals SteelSeries announced that it has inked a partnership agreement with North. The latter is a Danish Counter Strike: Global Offensive team established by Nordisk Film and F.C Copenhagen. The purpose of the partnership is the creation of original products for the gaming and esports market.
In a special statement, Christian Sørensen, North CEO, said that he sees the partnership with SteelSeries as an excellent opportunity for North to make a mark in esports. He highlighted that the roster consists of talented players who have the potential to secure themselves a spot among the world’s top-ranked esports pros.
Ehtisham Rabbani, SteelSeries CEO, said that the “collaboration with players and organizations that compete at the highest level” was what sets the brand apart from the rest. He went on to say that Counter Strike was “at the core” of the SteelSeries brand and concluded that this was yet another reason why the company was proud to work with North.
This is not the first partnership of this kind for SteelSeries, though. The company has previously supported several prominent esports organizations including Fnatic, Winterfox, and Evil Geniuses.
As for North, is a relatively new player on the esports scene. The CS: GO squad has recently qualified for the grand finals of DreamHack Malmo but during the tense match, it could not match the strength of G2 Esports. Currently, the team is taking part in DreamHack Montreal running from September 8th through September 10th.
