The Evil Within 2 is out on Friday, but the video game publisher Bethesda announced a charity campaign themed around the long-anticipated third-person survival horror video game. The objective of The Good Within fundraising campaign is to support the American Red Cross efforts worldwide. Donations are accepted on CrowdRise and the community goal is $15,000. In other words, Bethesda will match donations up to that amount.
The Evil Within 2 fans who would like to contribute to the meaningful cause can visit the CrowdRise site and choose whether to donate money to the American Red Cross or support a specific cause such as the Hurricane Irma.
To raise community awareness, Bethesda has joined forces with Twitch streamers who will play The Evil Within 2 and promote the charitable campaign. The streamers will give fans a glimpse at the soon-to-be-released game and encourage viewers to donate and popularize the campaign by using the #TheGoodWithin hashtag.
The Evil Within 2 launches across all platforms on Friday (October 13th). According to previous announcements of the Bethesda officials, the publisher is interested in bringing the game to Nintendo Switch. As RealGear reported earlier, Bethesda will launch The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Doom, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus on Switch in the next few months.
