Well, not all that glitters is gold, so you should not hesitate in investing in a good gaming mouse for PUBG.

To save you from the uncertainties and confusion, we have handpicked the best gaming mice for PUBG. Although each of them has its pros and cons, you cannot go wrong with upgrading your mouse to some of the models mentioned below. You will be enabled to limit the keyboard movement and focus on the distance thus easily spotting your enemies in the open.

Razer Basilisk  – “The Best Gaming Mouse for PUBG, CS:GO, and Quake”

The Razer Basilisk is among the latest additions to Razer’s ever-growing portfolio. It hit the shelves in October 2017 and has quickly become players’ favorite FPS weapon. What’s more, Razer’s CEO himself defined the Basilisk as the best gaming mouse for PUBG, CS: GO, and Quake.

The Basilisk is designed for right-handed gamers only and what sets it apart from similar products is the presence of a clutch. When you press the clutch, the DPI changes. When you remove your thumb, the mouse reverts to its default sensitivity. Now, you must be wondering if the clutch is superior to the standard sniper buttons most FPS gaming mice possess. My most honest answer is YES. The clutch might be the most controversial selling point of the Basilisk, but for me, it is a way better than a standard DPI button.

The clutch is a long button you can access with your thumb and it can give you an advantage during heated gameplay moments and help you land precise shots. It is important to note that the clutch provides only one DPI sensitivity – the one you choose via the Synapse software. The sensitivity itself is controlled via the two buttons behind the mouse. The clutch is configurable via the software too, so you can assign a different command if you wish.

Apart from the clutch, the Basilisk has yet another innovative feature – the resistance feature of the scroll wheel. You are enabled to tighten the wheel to get a more tactile feedback or loosen it if you wish. The Razer “Hypershift” system allows you to assign a second command to each button.

The built-in thumb rest is covered with a rubberized surface for a better grip. The right side of the mouse is equipped with a rubberized surface as well, so your ring finger has a better grip, too.

All button assignments are saved to a profile within the software. You can store up to four profiles on the mouse and make an unlimited number of profiles on your PC. The mouse also comes with eight lighting effects and 16.8 million color options.

Other than the clutch the Basilisk has the standard right and left buttons, two buttons beneath the wheel, a scroll wheel and two thumb buttons. All of them are configurable via the software.

The Basilisk is a corded mouse, so there is no point in explaining that you will be spared the frustrating lagging. The mouse comes with a 5G optical sensor and offers DPI ranging between 100 and 16,000. You are also enabled to configure between two and five sensitivity stages.

Overall, the Basilisk delivers as promised and does a wonderful job. If you are into shooters and you are not afraid to try a mouse that is a slight deviation from the standard gaming mice in terms of design, go with the Basilisk. Sadly, southpaws will not be able to use it but the good news is that they can opt for the Lancehead that has an ambi shape.

Corsair M65 Pro RGB – Killer Design and Lethal Accuracy

Corsair M65 Pro RGB has been on the market for quite some time and the fact that it is among players’ favorite weapons speaks volumes of its efficiency. The mouse is made of durable materials and the design explicitly states that it has been designed for FPS. The M65 Pro has an aluminum frame, a highly responsive sensor and the compulsory for FPS sniper button but let’s dig deeper into the specs.

The M65 surface is covered with a layer of plastic, the coating on the top feels great against your fingers. The textured finish on the sides adds to the better grip. The mouse looks and feels sturdy, and if you make it your premium PUBG weapon, you will have to keep in mind that the surfaces accumulate more fingerprints than most mice normally do.

The upper section of the M65 Pro sports the backlit Corsair logo, as well as a scroll wheel, right and left buttons and two DPI adjustment buttons. There is also a DPI light indicating the sensitivity level you are at.

The right side of the mouse is devoid of any buttons while the left side features a big red button. This is the so-called sniper button you can use to lower the DPI and make precise mouse movements. The backwards and forwards buttons are located right above it. If you wish, you can assign them different functions. The cable is braided but non-removable. The mouse also ships with three removable weights. The total weight of the M65 Pro is 135.5 grams, but if you remove the three optional weights, the weight drops to 115 grams.

The optical sensor offers a max DPI of 12,000.

While the original M65 features a laser sensor, the revamped M65 RGB Pro has an optical sensor.  Optical sensors are considered better for gaming purposes, you can also calibrate the mouse for the surface you are going to use it on. Still, it would not hurt to check for a good mousepad. The availability of a sniper button is super practical in instances when high precision is required not only in gaming but also in editing pictures.

As for its in-game performance the updated M65 Pro has proven its superiority.  The combination of features allows an unprecedented level of control and you can literally land headshots with your eyes closed.

However, if you are among those players who consistently rely on flick shots, I would recommend you to have a look at the SteelSeries Rival 700.

Corsair boasts about a user-friendly software that enables you to adjust the polling rate, save your settings in the onboard memory, remap the buttons, adjust the lighting, etc.

Overall, Corsair M65 RGB Pro is a godsend to budget-conscious fans of shooters and RTS. It is insanely accurate, feature-rich and it will not cost you an arm and a leg, as compared to its competitors that has the same features and cost two times more.

Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury – Best Value for Money

I dare to say that the Hyperion Fury is one of Logitech’s finest attempts to combine reasonable price and availability of all must-have features a FPS gamer would need. It is advertised as the fastest FPS gaming mouse and sports a high-precision optical sensor and a max DPI of 4000. Nothing crazy, especially when compared to some mice that offer the whopping 16,000 DPI, but if you know anyone who uses more than 4,000 DPI please drop their contact details in the comments. I would be glad to talk to them about the high sensitivity matter.

The G402 Hyperion Fury comes with 8 programmable buttons, on-the-fly DPI switching, as well as a 32-bit ARM processor. The build quality hints that it can withstand a lot of abuse. Overall, it is a great device and I am positive that if you read the full review you will agree that the Hyperion Fury has no rival in shooters as far as price, durability and technical specs are concerned. See our full review about Logitech G402 model here.

Roccat Nyth – Build Your Victory

Genre specific mice are a two-bladed knife. If you are an MMO die hard, you can always get a high-quality mouse for WoW, but if you love switching between genres, you must be well-aware that a mouse that works well in MMOs is not always good for RTGs and vice versa. That’s why I am glad to bring to your attention one of the most customizable mice that has ever passed through my hands. The Roccat Nyth is a feature-rich rodent that enables you to tweak it to an extent that best suits your playstyle.

It comes as no surprise that the Roccat Nyth is one of the favorite weapons of WoW freaks. Similar to the G600 and Corsair Scimitar, the Nyth is a is a MMO mouse with most buttons being organized in a 12-button grid.

The Roccat Nyth is one of the favorite weapons of WoW freaks so it comes as no surprise that it is equipped with quite a few buttons. Apart from the 12 thumb keys, the mouse has the standard right and left clickers and a scroll wheel. In addition, the Nyth has a paddle that comes in handy when looking around corners in shooters, as well as an Easy Shift+ button. The latter enables you to program the mouse buttons to correspond to media controls, numbers, and symbols of your choice.

The Nyth ships with 12 standard thumb buttons, 12 contoured thumb buttons, six larger thumb buttons, a claw grip, a palm grip, and three strips that deactivate the button rows.

Having a lot of customization options is always nice as long as you can change the mouse parts in a breeze. Luckily, you don’t need a degree in engineering to swap the parts and adjust the mouse to your liking.

I tested the Nyth in Quake, StarCraft II, PUBG and it performed exactly in a way a high-end peripheral should perform. I had no troubles with the Roccat Swarm software as well. Roccat has put a lot of efforts into making it competitive to the sophisticated Razer Synapse and SteelSeries Engine 3. There are some things the devs need to figure out but they are negligible. You can assign macros, change the sensitivity level, link games with individual profiles, tweak the surface calibration and more.

The Nyth got me with the robust number of buttons as well as the fact that almost every gamer can tweak it to an extent that it corresponds to their individual playstyle.

Back at the time when the Nyth was released, it was uncertain whether this “experimental” mouse would be well-perceived by players. From today’s perspective, it seems that Roccat has made the right move with the release of a mouse that is customizable to the moon and back.

Zowie ZA11 – Buy Zowie Be Happy

If you are an avid PUBG player, you must have heard of Dr Disrespect. If you haven’t, he is one of the most popular PUBG streamers and guess what? He uses Zowie ZA11 gaming mouse. What’s more, most CS: GO pros use Zowies and it is not because of sponsorship deals or lame marketing tricks. The Zowies are just beautiful, lethal weapons that perform brilliantly in shooters. If you are a Counter Strike: Global Offensive addict, check our Zowie review and learn why this is simply the best gaming mouse for CS:GO, hands down. Now, let’s focus on the ZA series mice and the ZA11 specs, in particular.

All Zowie mice are no-frills devices and if you are interested in futuristic buttons and fancy LEDs, you’d better look somewhere else. However, if you are more concerned about the quality and performance of the mouse you are going to purchase, you should totally put the Zowies on your Christmas wishlist.

The mice from the ZA series are ambidextrous with the ZA11 being the biggest one. What makes the ZA series mice different from their FK and EC siblings is the availability of a belly bump at the bottom.

The ZA mice are covered in soft plastic and ensure a nice grip but keep in mind that you will have to keep a microfiber cloth and some sort of a cleaner near at hand. As far as comfort is concerned, I did not feel any fatigue after several hours of playing Overwatch.

The side buttons are easy to reach, the sensor is ensuring a stunning accuracy and during my tests, I noticed hardly any latency. If you are looking for a mouse you can count on for speed and accuracy, go ahead and grab the ZA11 to have a full control over where you are aiming. The 3310 sensor provides the excellent performance you expect. The steps on the scroll wheel are nice too.

If you are going to make an upgrade from a $10 bucks rodent that is on its last gasp, you will definitely notice the amazing difference in performance. However, if you use a mouse that comes with a sophisticated software, you may be a bit taken aback by the fact that Zowies offer pretty limited customization features.

The DPI is changed by using a dedicated button near the sensor. You can also adjust the poling rate by holding a combination of buttons and .. pretty much that’s it.

Before you get disappointed and condemn the Zowies as bare bones mice that do not justify their price tag, I would like to clarify the reason behind the lack of customization. These mice are unapologetically designed for pro gamers who use them in a competitive environment where there is no need of an accompanying software. Nevertheless, the basic customization options would meet the needs of casual players who have no ambition to conquer the competitive gaming scene but still want to use a decent mouse. My most honest opinion is that Zowie ZA11 is a great mouse for palm grippers who are not likely to compromise on quality and performance.

SteelSeries Rival 310 / Sensei 310 – What the Current King of Mouse Sensors Can Do?

If you have read any other hardware review of mine, you may have noticed that I speak favorably of the PixArt PMW3360 sensors. That’s why I was excited to find out that SteelSeries has gone an extra mile in utilizing the full potential of the PixArt. The company has recently rolled out the Rival 310 and Sensei 310 gaming mice sporting the TrueMove 3 sensor. The latter is the first of its kind sensor to offer true one-to-one tracking. If the definition sounds a but vague, keep reading and get to know what is the fuss all about.

The revolutionary TrueMove sensor is based on the PixArt 3360 and it delivers true 1:1 tracking and sensitivity ranging from 100 to 3500 DPI. What’s more, the sensor utilizes jitter reduction from 3,500 to 12,000. In other words, you can count on the two mice to track at speeds up to 350 ips. Although this is not the highest ips a contemporary gaming mouse possesses, SteelSeries swears by its accuracy.

The Rival 310 and Sensei 310 are not too different from one another but still, they have some differences that can affect your in-game performance. Both mice are made of sturdy plastic and have a rubber grid on the sides and the scroll wheel. The texture prevents the slipping of your hands when they get sweaty, not to mention that the matte finish makes the fingerprints less noticeable.

The buttons provide a satisfactory click, the steps of the scroll wheel are distinct but I consider the height of the scroll wheel a bit low. I mean it is not a big deal but if you don’t like the low profile scroll wheels, you may consider this a slight inconvenience.

The SteelSeries Rival 310 is a worthy successor of Rival 700 as far as shape and side buttons are concerned. The buttons of the Rival 310 are well positioned and easily reached, so you will not have any issues whatsoever, regardless of your grip and hand size. The chance of misclicks is reduced as SteelSeries has provided enough space underneath the buttons, where you can comfortably rest your thumb.

The Rival 310 body is fairly long and if you have a fingertip grip, it may not work out well for you but in all other cases, the mouse perfectly fits one’s hand. One of the most distinct differences between the Sensei 310 and Rival 310 is that the former has smaller buttons and it might take you some time to get used to them.

All in all, Sensei is the ambidextrous alternative to the Rival, except for the side buttons. Both mice have a braided cable. The two mice have identical multi-color Prism RGB illumination that can be tweaked via the SteelSeries Engine 3 configuration panel. In case you are a fan of LAN parties, you will be glad to know that you can save your settings in onboard memory. Both mice have durable Omron switches. To make an informed decision, have a glimpse at the similarities and differences Rival 310 and Sensei 310 have.

Are you hungry for a chicken dinner?

If a year ago someone has told me that a chicken dinner would be so important in a game, I would have laughed in their face. Well, here we are. Now, we all strive for a chicken dinner and those who have experienced the sweet feeling of being the last man alive know how satisfying it is.

In PUBG, there is no playing dirty, there is only survival, at any cost. So, don’t shy away from the fighting. Go ahead and aim for those military zones and high traffic areas. Be adaptive and make sure you quickly find the loot, equip, aim, and kill. You never know, upgrading your gaming gear might be that last improvement needed to overcome the silly hardware obstacles and obtain the PUBG chicken dinner.
