Epic Games’ Fortnite Battle Royale has achieved yet another milestone. The free-to-play shooter has surpassed the 20 million players mark. The title was launched at the end of September, so the impressive number of players has been reached in only a few weeks. The controversy that has arisen prior to its release further boosted its popularity.
As RealGear reported, the Battle Royale passed the 1 million landmark soon after its debut and the numbers have been rapidly growing ever since. Now, the developer has decided to celebrate the 20 million milestone with a new patch that brings small and yet important changes to the game.
The biggest change is the addition of a bush. The new camouflage item is available from chests and supply drops and turns players into a bush. When the bush takes any damage, it gets destroyed.
Another noteworthy change is related to the pump shotgun. The damage drop off distance has been altered with the aim of making it easier to control.
