PS4 Pro “Rathalos Edition” Bundle Hits the Shelves Prior to Monster Hunter: World Release

Well, this time around, Capcom announced a new limited edition Monster Hunter – themed PS4 Pro. The “Rathalos Edition” bundle will be released on December 7th in Japan. It will carry a 49,980 yen (approx. $450) price tag. There is no word whatsoever about its international release.

As a matter of fact, the actual name of the console is “Liolaeus Edition” with Liolaeus being the Japanese name of Rathalos. The console features a sleek black design and the silhouette of one of the iconic game monsters – the Rathalos. The controller has a wine-red base and a small Monster Hunter: World logo on the right-hand grip.

The Rathalos console will come with 1TB hard disk drive. Pre-orders begin tomorrow (September 20th) at noon, Japan time. The bundle also includes a download code for the Monster Hunter: World. It will unlock at midnight on the release day.

Speaking of Monster Hunter: World release, Capcom has announced that the game will arrive to PS4 and Xbox One consoles on January 26, 2018. The PC launch date is yet to be specified.
